THE PRINCIPLES OF THE BODY OF CHRIST

A few years ago the Holy Spirit told me that many Christians did not understand what the body of Christ is, this is why there are so many divisions, rivalries and jealousy among Christians.

The body of Christ is composed of several members bound by the Holy Spirit, whatever the origins and color of the skin of those who are part of it. But man has the power to make the choice to obey or not to obey the commandments of God despite the spiritual gifts he has, but unfortunately many make the wrong choice, hence animosities among Christians. Besides this, there are many false Christians who cause much damage in the Church of God, and while the real ones are in disagreement, the enemy works and misleads many unconfirmed souls and discredits the the work of God, due to the fact that the true Christians have not understood nor don't understand the principles of the body of Christ.


The apostle Paul explains us what the body of Christ is, in 1Cor 12v12-14: For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

For the body is not one member, but many.

We are all complementary to each other, for Christ has given each one a ministry and gifts for His work, but unfortunately some are jealous of the ministry and gifts of others and yet they have also received them, They want to be the only ones to possess ministries and gifts, hence criticisms, slanders and rivalries, some go so far as to put the opprobrium on the others in order to discredit their calling, others are only waiting for an opportunity of error to attack, and in all this, those who want to convert do not know on what foot dance.
It is this behavior that opens the door to false Christians and gives them the power to divert souls from truth, with the gospel of complaisance leading to the new age (false religion).

Gal 5v15: But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

The body of Christ is supposed to support each other, when a member is attacked, when false Christians propagate false doctrines, when one falls into sin, or makes mistakes, etc.
It's in this that one will recognize that we are a body (read Jn 13:35).

The Lord Jesus Christ is returns soon! and it is not by our ministries and gifts that we shall be judged worthy to inherit the kingdom of God, but by the love we have had for each other (the unity of the body of Christ). 

HERE ARE SOME VERSES FOR OUR EDIFICATION:
Col 3v13: Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

John 13v34: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

1Peter 1v22: Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently.

John 14v15:  If ye love me, keep my commandments.
