THE DIVORCE

Divorce is proscribed in the Lord Jesus! every born again Christian should not divorce for whatever reason, the Lord prohibited it.
Marriage is a sacred covenant before God, it should not be broken.
I am not talking here of those who were married before their conversion, I do not speak either couple of which one is Christian and the other is not! Paul gives instruction in 1Cor 7v12-16.

In the old covenant, the man could repudiate his wife by giving her a repudiation letter,
divorce was so authorized, but for all those in the new covenant (the born again Christians) if they marry, they should not divorce except in cases of adultery.
The Lord Jesus said in Matt 5v31-32: It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
The Apostle Paul confirms this in 1 Cor 7v10-11:And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

It is therefore clear that it is a commandment of God not to divorce.

The only remarriage allowed in the Lord is when one spouse dies, but not in his lifetime.
1 Corinthians 7v39: The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

There is one thing the Christian must not ignore is that God is always in harmony with His own laws and principles, He never going beyond what He commands, but some Christians do not seek to know the God they serve, or to probe the scriptures before to engage in marriage, they walk according to their feelings and let themselves be influenced by others, and this is a trap in which many Christians and even pastors fall.

No revelation from God about your marriage, will come to contradict Biblical principles !!!

The leader of the local church is a model that believers must follow, but if this model starts to come out of God's commandments to obey his own convictions, he will lead many Christians to destruction, and God will ask him the account because the Bible says we will be judged more strictly (James 3v1).
It has never been told that the Christian can divorce when there is no more agreement between the couple, nor when there is physical or verbal abuse, etc., when this happens, one of the spouse may be separate for a time, the time to resolve conflicts, either through prayer or by people close, and be reconcile, which is why Paul said that if the woman is separated from her husband, she must not remarry, but be reconciled with her husband.

Many Christians marry, and divorce and remarry, some even remarry several times, when there are problems in their relationships, they prefer to escape the problems rather than face them together, there is no problem that God cannot solve in a Christian couple, if they put their trust in Him instead of divorce. You know, all the good reasons are never justified before God. The Bible says, for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God (James 1v20).
It is because of such behavior that the Lord's Name is flouted among pagans, Christians were supposed represented the kingdom of God and his righteousness, they behave as the worldly.

Any servant of God who fears God, will not marry a divorced woman, even if he has feelings for her, he has to put the commandments of God forward and not his feelings he will not listen encouragement from anyone. NO ADULTERY WILL INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

A CHRISTIAN MAN WHO MARRY A DIVORCED CHRISTIAN WOMAN, COMMITS ADULTERY WITH HER. THIS IS A SIN ACCORDING TO THE JUSTICE OF KINGDOM OF GOD. BUT ACCORDING TO THE JUSTICE OF THIS WORLD IT IS  NOT A SIN.

WHAT JUSTICE TO RESPECT?  THAT OF GOD OR THAT OF THIS WORLD ???

May God put the fear of His Name in the hearts! Hawa Esther Maiga
