THE MINISTRY OF AHAB

The man of God should have a close relationship with God to know His perfect will in every aspect of his ministry, it's very important because many servants of God are unfortunately led by members of their congregation, they only listen and do what they tell them, without even bothering to consult God who is the Master of the Church. You know, it's good to have confidence in his collaborators, but it is to you that God has entrusted the ministry, it is to you that He has entrusted His sheep that you have to feed, so you are responsible for all decisions you take under the pressure of your collaborators, it is only up to you that God will ask accounts.
Many ministers have fallen because of people in they had confidence, who had very good ideas to advancement of the work of God, But these idea were not from God but from the flesh,
their ideas were seem good but they were accompanied by traps of the enemy, which is why the world is well represented in some ministries.
Nathan was a good prophet of God and a man of confidence for David, but when David wanted to build a temple to God, Nathan encouraged him to do so, because David was man according to God's heart, but it was not the will of God, Nathan gave a carnal (feeling) response to David, and later the Lord revealed His will to Nathan (2Sam 7v1-13).
Yesterday night (11.04.2015) after my prayer, before going to sleep, the Spirit of God has put in my heart the story of King Ahab, who was surrounded by his own prophets who prophesied to him all that he loved to hear, and he did not want especially to hear the prophet Micaiah, and how God Himself had sent the spirits of lies to deceive Ahab so that he be killed in battle, here's what he said when King Jehoshaphat (King of Judah) asked him : Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him?
And the king (Ahab) of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
Ahab was a king who liked to confide in men, starting with his wife Jezebel, and we know the disaster this has caused in Israel. So many God's servants are Ahab, dominated by their own prophets they have since several years, or even with who they founded their congregation, the words of these people are more valuable than those of others who are not of their church, but what these people forget is that the Church of Jesus Christ is "ONE" whatever the country, race, ethnicity, color of members of the body of Christ, and that God has the right to send who He wants to talk to a pastor no matter who he is, to bring him to the right path, but woe to him if he does not listen and locks himself in his pride!
Eph 4 v4-6 says: There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
King Ahab sent for the prophet Micaiah but on the way, the one who had gone to seek him advised him to speak exactly as the prophets of Ahab, but Micaiah's answer was: As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak.
And when Micaiah spoke, he was slapped. How many people are rejected by collaborators and pastors bodyguards because these people do not come with the same message as them, that could upset their habits if the pastors listened to the message of God for their ministry and changed their ways???
Some ministries are infected by spirits of lies because of the hardness of their hearts, their ministry are friends clubs, such as the assembly of Ahab. The Bible says that God sent a lying spirit to deceive Ahab. And he (Micaiah) said: Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persude him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee. 1 Kings 22v19-23.
When a servant of God refuses to listen to God and to do His will, he will eventually hear the devil and do the will of the devil, for God will deliver him to satan! sometimes difficult situations in the ministries and lives of God's servants are due to disobedience to God, for God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.
Jeremiah 17v5-6: Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
NB: God has not changed, He is the same yesterday, today and forever! He is the God of the Old and the New Testament. May God give us the discernment to know His will and to walk in His Divine plan.
Be bless! H.E.Maiga
