Jesus Christ rule two important things before being crucified!

Did you know that the Lord Jesus, before being taken on the cross to be crucified, had taken care to settle two important things?
Jesus is King and Priest, wanted to end the Levitical priesthood and .
human kingship.

THE LEVITICUS PRIESTHOOD: when the Lord Jesus was arrested in Gethsemane garden, He was taken to the high priest Caiaphas, and when the latter asked him to say who He was, saying: Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Mat 26v64, And verse 65: Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.
God's word says that it was forbidden to priest to tear his clothes.
And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes. Lev 21v10. Rending his clothes in front of Jesus, the priest puts end the priesthood without realizing it.

THE KINGSHIP: at the time of Jesus, the kings were not of royal lineage established by God, they were not the Israelites, they were foreigners that the Romans established on Israel, the priests also were established by the Romans, reversing the order established by God (like what there is nothing new under the sun) this is what we still see today.
After being humiliated by the priests and elders of the people, and taken before Pilate (the Roman governor), Jesus was taken to Herod the king established the Romans.

The Bible says: Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man. And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.
When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean. And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time. And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him. Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing. And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him. And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate. Luc 23v4-11.

Notice in verse 11, it says that Herod clothed Jesus in a GORGEOUS ROBE (royal clothe). Jesus put end to the kingship in Israel, He is the King of Israel.

That is why after His death on the cross, the veil of the temple which separated the people of the presence of God, was torn in two from top to bottom. Mark 15v38.

That is also why the Bible says: And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Jesus Christ is King of kings and Priest after the order of Melchizedek. (Ps 110v4; Hebrews 6v20).

God bless you! Hawa Esther Maiga
