SEMITES, HEBREWS, ISRAELITES, JUDEANS and SAMARITIANS!

A SEMITE is a descendant of Shem, a son of Noah (Genesis 10)
A HEBREW is a descendant of Heber, who is a descendant of Shem (Gen. 10v24-31), whose descends Abraham, so all the descendants of Abraham are all Semites and Hebrews.
A ISRAELITE is a Semite, Hebrew, descendant of Abraham through his son Isaac born by Sarah, then Jacob, son of Isaac that YHWH called "Israel", so all the Israelites are the sons of Jacob that form the 12 tribes Israel. (Genesis 49 and Deuteronomy 33)
NB: All Semites are not Hebrews, and all Hebrews are not Israelites.
A Judean is an Israelite who from kingdom of Judah, the southern kingdom of Israel, whose capital is Jerusalem, the word "Judean" has been translated into several languages:
Biblical Hebrew names יהודי (Yehudi, "Judean") every Israelite living in the Judée. Aramaic replied that word in the yehoudaïé form, which became Ἰουδαῖος [Ioudaios] Greek ancien then IVDÆVS [Judaeus] in Latin. In the tenth century, the former French developed this Latin word in the judeu form, which then turned into jiu then judeu EC11 in the twelfth century. Jewish feminine form of this word is derived, from the thirteenth century, the French word male "Juif" that reaches today as the two spellings "jew" (belonging to the Jew religion=judaism) and "Jew" (belonging the Jewish people=Israelites).
NB: Judaism is a religion composed of Israelites and non-Israelites, as Islam is composed of Arabs and non-Arabs!
All Israelites Jews are not necessarily in Judaism, there are in Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and many other religions, some are atheists, but before the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, all Israelites are sons and daughters of Israel.

A SAMARITIAN is an Israelite from the northern kingdom of Israel whose capital is Samaria (Tel Aviv).
