THE SPIRITUAL PRIDE

Sometimes we tend to believe that God speaks only to us and not also to others, and that if God has something to tell us, He will necessarily tell to us, and will not pass by someone else; but it is a serious mistake to think that way, because God is in heaven and He does what He wants and with whom He wants.
We must therefore get to know the principles of the God we serve, otherwise we will get to unpleasant surprises in our live and in our ministry.
The spiritual proud, thinks be infallible and always blameless, he thinks that he can control everything, because God speaks to him and uses him, he believes that to be just, make him a person so spiritual, that the devil can not tempt him, nor put a trap before him, then he only listens to himself, and  listen those who tell him all what do not offends his ego because the spiritual proud do not like to be contradicted nor criticize.

Spiritual proud believes that the warnings of God are only for those who live in sin, then that is a serious mistake, because the word of God shows us the opposite.
The Bible says: Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Ez 3v20. This verse clearly tells us that the righteous man can fall into the trap of the enemy, and that God can send someone to warn him, it is not because God does not speak directly to the righteous man, but there are things that the righteous man can not necessarily perceive,  if he is based on feelings and affinities, he may not understand when God will tell him that there is a trap in certain relationships with certain persons, or certain decisions that he will take, in these cases, God will send someone in order to warn His servant. The Bible says 1 Peter 5v 8:
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
We must be aware that once we are saved, we enter in war against the devil's work, and therefore we have an adversary who will never tire of trying to make us fall by deceit and different ways, even through people we love and to whom we are attached. The devil always seeks our weak points in order to trap us, it's very important to know.

The Lord had revealed me that the devil had sent a woman to seduce a pastor to make him fall into the sin of adultery, I warned the man of God, and yet he is a man of God who has a powerful gift of revelation, I would say it is a prophet, but he listened me humbly and entrusted everything to God to confirm the message, and a few months later, this man of God has contacted me to tell me that the prophecy that I had given him was true, and that God had shown him this woman, and confirmed what I had said, and he had taken precautions to avoid falling the trap set by the enemy, glory to God! but the spiritual proud would react differently by despising me and rejecting this warning by saying that if God has something to tell him, He will tell him directly.
Spiritual proud, often look at the appearance of people who proclaim him a warning from God, because according to them, there are people worthy to be listened, and others not.
Paul who was a great apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ teaches us that we must be very vigilant, we can be disqualified after preaching to others (1Cor 9v26-27),  he also teaches us that we should not despise prophecies but to review and retain what is good (1 Thessalonians 5v20-21).

King David was a prophet, but he had with him the prophet Nathan, many kings in the Bible, had revelations from God, but there were also prophets who spoke to them from God, for the kings in Old Testament were anointed. This is one of the principles of God to know, it's that God can use who He wants to talk to whom He wants, and as long as we will be in this carnal envelope, we will not be immune to the temptations the enemy, we must be humble towards each other, this is also the love of his neighbor.

NB: When a servant of God refuses to listen to God's warnings, he opens a door to the enemy, and God Himself will put a trap in front of him and he will fall, like Ez 3v20 said.
and all that he did well when he was faithful to God, becomes zero, for He will forget everything, that is why many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7v22-23.

A little advice as a sister! if someone comes to tell you something saying that it comes from God, even if this thing upsets your logic or your traditions, have the right attitude (love) listen and do not blame this person, then pray that God gives confirmation or refutation, because no one knows what will happen tomorrow, no one has the absolute truth, but only God who reveals the hidden things, no one knows the perfect plan of God for his life and his ministry, so pay attention! Personally there are people who God used to speak to me and yet God speaks to me too! there are people who prophesied things that were not accomplished in my life, but I had the right attitude, I have not condemn nor diabolized these people, on the contrary I prayed that God may give them His vision. We must pray to God so that He gives us humility it's very important.

Ps 138v6: Though the LORD be high, yet hath He respect unto the lowly: but the proud He knoweth afar off.

God bless you! H.E.Maiga
