You must first have a sanctified life and a clean heart, be delivered from fornication, from lie, purify your mouth from nasty and obscene words, forgive those who offended you, and your prayers will ascended to heaven and will be answered.
An true intercessor is a person who has an intimacy with God, it's a person who fears God!
The Bible say that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5v16)
He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.(Pr 28v9)
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. (John 9v31)
Praying is good and even very well but if prayer does not rise to the Lord, why spending a lot of time to multiply prayers, participate in all prayer groups and intercede for Church, the nations and for people?
To what purpose cometh there to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.(Jer 6v20)
Beloved, one day the Lord showed me in a vision a man who prayed and who insisted in his prayers, but suddenly I saw the sky closed above him, it is as if someone had come put a roof so that he does not see the sky. It is some time after the Lord told me that it was the sins of this man which close the sky, so he prays but his prayers are blocked because of his sins.
If we want be usefull , to intercede, we have to be ensured that our prayers go up to heaven, because we must not ignore that in front of us there is the power of darkness ready to attack us, that is why, the Bible tells us about the spiritual weapons, in Eph 6v11-17: Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
A Church that has a group of intercessors in which there are fornicators, people living in concubinage, alcoholics scammers, etc ... Is a Church that is heading straight toward his spiritual fall, and if the pastor himself is not a man of prayer and relies on his group of intercessors , he puts himself in dangers and also the sheeps that God has entrusted to him.
If the intercessory group is formed on the basis of feelings, or because people pray well and a lot, this is nothing, but a carnal group, it is necessary that the leader of the Church asks discernment to the Lord first of all thing.
LET'S NOT BE RELIGIOUS BUT DISCIPLES OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST FOR HE IS HOLY.
