The Bible tells us that the Spirit of God has given the Church of Jesus-Christ spiritual gifts for the edification of the body of Christ, in these gifts include: THE PROPHECY (1Cor 12v10), let's see some manifestations of this gift through the scriptures.
THE PROPHECY: Is a gift of inspiration, he who has this gift speaks under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, instantly and he can start by speaking in spiritual language followed for the interpretation or speak directly known language, and it is a gift that manifests during prayer meetings to exhort the Church, the person "may" have some tremors during he speaks, it's due to the effect of the power of God, when the Spirit of God grabbed him.
The Church needs this gift to be edified !!!
1Cor 14v1-4: Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
He who has the gift of prophecy always speaks as if it's God Himself who speaks, for example: He will say: "I am the Lord, I ..." or he will speak directly unlike to him who has the gift of "the word of knowledge" who will say "thus saith the Lord" or "God say to me to tell you." The difference is that God speaks directly through the mouth of he who has the gift of prophecy, he who has the prophecy does not transmit an message because he did not received it before, while he who has the word of knowledge receive message before and passes it and that is why he will say, "thus saith the Lord" because he speaks on behalf of God.
The gift of prophecy is not a ministry, but an gift of the Spirit, sometimes some people confuse prophecy, with prophetic ministry, while there is a big difference, because the gift of prophecy can be given at any believers according to the Spirit of God, of simple believer, to the Pastor, evangelical, apostle, prophet and teacher. Everyone can prophesy, but everyone is not a prophet.
We must also know that there is false prophecies and it is not difficult to detect them, some speak in the flesh and others under the inspiration of Satan, but we need discernmentand and wisdom, and much love in order not to condemn nor blame them because they are victims, we must pray for them, that they may be delivered. The purpose of the gospel is to save souls. When the Lord Jesus discerned the voice of satan through the Apostle Peter, He said to satan, behind me satan! He did not condemn Peter (Mat 16v21-23). Shalom!
