THE HARDNESS HEART


The hardness of heart is a state of opposition, disobedience and contempt of God's law.
A heardened person deliberately closes his heart and his ears to the truth and justice.

The first person in the history of creation to have hardened his heart was "the shining star" (Lucifer) when he worshiped God in praise to heaven, then "the old serpent" when he seduced Eve and Adam, and later became Satan. You know, when we obey the law of God we have a name, and when we disobey Him we have another name. Each name corresponds to our state of mind before God, as when Israel obeyed God, He called it "the verdant olive tree", and when Israel sinned, He called it "prostitute".

There are two types of hardeness of heart, the first is the one that comes from man and the second comes from God Himself.

THE HARDNESS OF HEART THAT COMES FROM MAN: it is when a person hears the word of God and refuses it and even denies the existence of God, this person lives totally in sin and constantly opposes Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Apostle Paul throughout his ministry faced hardened hearts, people who did not want to hear anything about the gospel of Jesus Christ. When he arrived at Ephesus, the Bible said that he entered a synagogue where there were Israelites and non-Israelites, to bring them the good news of the kingdom of God, they did not listen to him.
Act 19:9 : But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

Remember that it's men with hardened hearts have crucified Jesus Christ. A hardened heart is blind and deaf to the truth and love.

The hardness heart that comes from man is also among some Christians who have been baptized, go to church, listen to Bible teachings, even serve in their congregations but live consciously in sin, and say to themselves that God is love, so,  He will not condemn them and they are convinced to enter heaven after death. But what do the scriptures tell us?
Rom 2:5-6: But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds.
1Cor 6:9-10: Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 



THE HARDNESS OF HEART THAT COMES FROM GOD: it is when the man, after having heard the law of God refuses to repent and continues to practice the evil, God hardens his heart so that he no longer has the possibility to repent, this is a condemnation to death and to hell, it is a condemnation to the downfall of the leaders of the nations who hardened their hearts after hearing the word of God through His prophets who told them to turn away from their evil ways, and that ended very badly for them.
We have in the Bible the example of Pharaoh who did not want to free the Israelites after 400 years of slavery, he opposed Moses servant of God, he refused to hear the word of God, believing himself stronger than God, because he trusted in his gods, believing that they were stronger than the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and so God hardened his heart and destroyed him with all the Egypt.


God says to Moses in Exodus 14: 4: I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so.


We also have the example of King Ahab who was a rebel against God, who preferred to listen to his own prophets instead the prophets of God. The Bible says that God sent a lying spirit into the mouths of the prophets of Ahab in order to seduce him and get himself killed and he died.
1 Kings 22: 20-23: And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persude him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.

Christians, at least those who claim to be Christians while violating the laws of God, they hearts will one day be hardened by God Himself, they will say after their death: Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matt 7:22-23.

Let us open our hearts to the law of God and we will live happy, because no wealth of this world makes happy except communion with our creator, and to have a communion with our creator, it suffices simply to conform to His principles written in the Bible inspired by God Himself to give us hope and eternal life after our life on earth, because there is a life after death that God promises us if we obey Him from all our heart.
